After approvals in 2006 and unsuccessful implementation of the original plan, the Ackerberg Group came back with new plans for the Mosaic project in 2008. The new plans call for an parking and office tower on the west end of the site (near Hennepin Avenue) that is oriented north-south to minimize Greenway shading. The buildings on the east end of the site (near Fremont Avenue) will be more office space with some apartments. The Lagoon Cinema will remain at Lagoon and Girard. They plan on working with the developers of the Acme Tag development across the Greenway to construct a bicycle/pedestrian bridge over the Greenway at Girard Avenue and a plaza will connect Lagoon Avenue with the new Greenway bridge.
