East of Hiawatha Avenue Gateway

The 2008 Annual Arbor Day event was located in the large barren open space just east of Hiawatha at the intersection of the Midtown Greenway and LRT Bike Trail.  Over 150 volunteers joined us on one snowy and cold Saturday morning to plant over 400 trees and shrubs. Check back for more opportunities to plant in this area.   Partners in this project are:  Midtown Community Works Partnership, Longfellow Community Council, Midtown Greenway Coalition, Seward Neighborhood Group Hennepin County, City of Minneapolis, MN DOT and the Met Council.
