Seward Longfellow Conceptual Landscape Plan

The Longfellow Community Council dedicated Neighborhood Revitalization Program funds for a Master Landscaping Plan for Phase III of the Midtown Greenway.  During the first three quarters of 2005, neighbors participated on a steering committee and in larger neighborhood input meetings to help guide the work of the consultants.  The plan calls for designs or natural areas based on the native habitats that existed at the time of European settlement; prairie with oak groves, savanna, and woodlands.  Implementation began with the 2007 Arbor Day event and will continue in years to come.
